Reconstitution of Minority Cell

In pursuance of the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines on Establishment of Equal Opportunity Cells / Minority Cells in Higher Educational Institutions, and in compliance with the directives of the Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh for the welfare, protection and promotion of interests of students and employees belonging to Minority Communities (as notified under Section 2(c) of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992), the Competent Authority is pleased to reconstitute the Minority Cell of Glocal University with immediate effect and until further orders.

The reconstituted Minority Cell shall comprise the following members:

 Functions & Responsibilities of the Minority Cell:

  • To address and redress grievances of minority students, faculty and staff relating to discrimination, harassment or denial of opportunities.
  • To monitor implementation of scholarship schemes, reservation policies (wherever applicable) and other welfare measures for minority communities.
  • To ensure compliance with UGC / Government of India / State Government guidelines concerning minority welfare and equal opportunity.
  • To organize sensitization workshops, awareness programmes, seminars and cultural events to promote harmony and inclusivity.
  • To recommend remedial actions, special coaching, scholarships, mentoring and other support mechanisms.
  • To submit periodic / annual report of activities and grievances resolved to the Competent Authority.
  •  Tenure: The Cell shall function for a period of two years from the date of this order or until further reconstitution,  whichever  is earlier.

     Quorum: Minimum four members (including Chairperson) shall constitute the quorum for any meeting.


      All concerned members are requested to assume their responsibilities with immediate effect. This issues with the approval  of the Competent Authority.
