Reconstitution of Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) Cell / Committee

In compliance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines on Prevention of Caste-Based Discrimination in Higher Educational Institutions and in accordance with the provisions of the Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh for protection and welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders, the Competent Authority is pleased to reconstitute the SC/ST Cell / Committee of Glocal University with immediate effect and until further orders.

The reconstituted SC/ST Cell / Committee shall comprise the following members:

 Functions & Responsibilities of the Minority Cell:

  • 1. To address and resolve any grievances of SC/ST students, teachers, officers and employees relating to caste-based discrimination / harassment.
  • 2. To monitor implementation of reservation policy in admission, appointments, scholarships and other benefits.
  • 3. To ensure strict compliance with UGC/Government of India / State Government guidelines on prevention of caste discrimination.
  • 4. To organize sensitization programmes, workshops, seminars and awareness campaigns.
  • 5. To recommend remedial measures, special coaching, scholarships and welfare schemes.
  • 6. To submit periodic / annual report of activities and grievances disposed to the Vice Chancellor.
  •  Tenure: Tenure: The Committee shall function for a period of two years from the date of this order or until order on further reconstitution, whichever is earlier.

     Quorum: Minimum four members (including Chairperson) shall constitute the quorum for any meeting.


      All concerned members are requested to assume their responsibilities immediately. This issues with the approval of the  Competent Authority.
